This is a family favourite. Full of flavour thanks to Florida Orange Juice. Make these tacos this week and save the sauce for yummy, dippable goodness.
Steak and Taco Ingredients
- 1 striploin steak
For the steak marinade: - 1 cup Florida Orange Juice
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 pepper
- 1 tbs maple syrup or honey
- Taco Shells
- Cilantro
Slaw Ingredients
- 2 tbs Florida Orange Juice
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- Juice of 1 lime
- ½ cup cilantro
- ¼ cup toasted almond slivers
- Shallot sliced
- Tsp salt
Preparation
- In a bowl mix together all ingredients for steak marinade. Allow steak to marinate for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- In a bowl mix together all ingredients for slaw. Set aside.
- Remove steak from marinade and dry. Place onto a cast iron skillet placed over high heat. Cook steak for 4-5 minutes on each side and then remove from the pan.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and pour in marinade. Allow to bubble and reduce for 5-7 minutes. Once thickened, remove from heat and pour into a bowl.
- Build tacos. Dip tacos into sauce as desire and enjoy!
