Ingredients
- 1 Florida Grapefruit
- 250g butter or plant-based alternative
- 125g soft brown sugar
- 125g white sugar
- 6 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 tbsp mixed seeds
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 500g rolled oats
Preparation
- Place the butter and both sugars into a large pan on low heat. Once the butter has melted, add in the golden syrup, then turn up the heat and bring to a boil.
- Add the zest and juice of the Florida Grapefruit.
- Sprinkle in the seeds and oats, and stir together making sure all of the oats are covered.
- Spoon the mixture out onto a 20 cm square baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Using the back of a spoon, press the flapjack down so that it is all even. Bake in the oven at 170c/340 F for 18-20 minutes.
- Once baked, leave the granola slab to cool before cutting into portions perfect for snacking!
